Sending GSM commands to the
network
GSM commands are used to:
• Access network services
• Display network and device parameters
• Provide account status information (for example, indicate
whether a subscribed service is available to you)
If your service provider asks you to enter a specific command:
1. Using your keyboard, type the command.
If the command was valid and accepted by the network,
the results are displayed in the Watcher window. Other-
wise, the message “Invalid GSM Command” is displayed.
For example, enter *#06#. This command displays the IMEI

You can send GSM commands even when a data transfer is in
progress.
1. IMEI—International Mobile Equipment Identity—a
number that uniquely identifies your device (AirCard
modem) on the GSM network
